Inspired by the shape, texture and silhouette contained within the Sidcot flight suit of the 1940s. The suit was worn by pilots in Britain’s Royal Air Force during World War II, and is a redevelopment of the original Sidcot suit from World War I.

The silhouettes and details for this collection were created using collages and manipulations of images of the original Sidcot suit. The manipulated images were arranged around a set "waist" line, providing an anchor point for the visualisation of the future garments.

The collection focused on transforming the many details of the Sidcot suit into varius silhouettes and cuts, while maintaining the rugged and worn feeling of the fabric via hand dying and fabric manipulation.

The jacket was created in a similiar technique to the one used in creating some of the collages: the fabric was cut into raw strips and sewn on top of larger pieces with red thread to emphasize the existing red lines within the fabrics pattern.
